The details of the 115.1-metre Lürssen superyacht Ahpo have remained under wraps since her launch in June 2021. Now the interior and exterior has been unveiled in full glory as the vessel enters the charter market for the first time with Moran Yacht and Ship.Photo: Guillaume Plisson Designed internally and externally by Nuvolari Lenard, with naval architecture by her builder Lürssen Yachts, the vessel features an elongated and sinuous exterior design. This is punctuated by the black elements of her superstructure which give her a unique and distinctive aesthetic. Photo: Guillaume Plisson The 115-metre superyacht Ahpo is distinguishable by her timeless, elegant bow and graceful superstructure sweeping aft, which she most certainly met the brief of the repeat client. “For Lürssen, the task was to build a motor yacht for a repeat client, an upgrade from his 86-metre Lürssen, who had many years of owning and chartering different types of yachts behind him,” says Peter Lürssen.Photo: Guillaume Plisson The superyacht Ahpo required a top-notch design and engineering to match to accompany seagoing comfort for his family, guests and crew. The interior brief was to link all the elements of nature, harmoniously balanced throughout the yacht with a clear drive towards rich over opulent.Photo: Guillaume Plisson A fitting first place to begin with this theme is her wellness area on the lower deck. The stunning backdrop of a large bamboo tree encased in backlit frosted glass welcomes guests to her stylish bar on one side, while a luxurious massage room is on the other side. In contrast to this zen atmosphere, is an explosion of coloured mosaic tiles which make up the hammam and day head as well as the Jacuzzi and plunge pool.Photo: Guillaume Plisson Photo: Guillaume Plisson Photo: Guillaume Plisson Ahpo has a 12-seater cinema further down her hall past her glass encased engine room. This futuristic addition allows the owners and guests to view the impressive engines and mechanical spaces and see how the yacht works.Photo: Guillaume Plisson The main deck of Ahpo hosts a large conference room with a beautiful custom centrepiece table with an antique map of Jamaica engraved in bronze and surrounded by deep blue resin. Her main saloon can be accessed through sliding doors to reveal an elegant formal space with a self-playing Steinway piano.Photo: Guillaume Plisson Photo: Guillaume Plisson The centre of the superyacht Ahpo is dominated by her grand staircase that allows guests access to all floors. The staircase itself represents a path and depicts an olive tree that grows up to the sky, surrounded by cranes. A striking crystal sculpture hangs from the ceiling, composed of falling feathers, each built by hand. The accent marbles change on each deck, acting as a subtle map of Blu Onyx, Green J’adore and Grey Lilac, with the floor always Calacatta Borghini with White Onyx for the petals, complemented by a bronze balustrade.Photo: Guillaume Plisson Photo: Guillaume Plisson Her owner’s deck takes on a different theme from the deck below with a contemporary and convivial saloon. The room is dominated by a colourful interpretation of the universe in the carpet and a striking latticed wood pattern running throughout. On the aft deck, an enormous custom 16-seater dining table stands proud within a winter garden that can be completely open or closed to the elements thanks to a complex set of sliding and folding glass doors.Photo: Guillaume Plisson Photo: Guillaume Plisson The upper deck of the superyacht Ahpo is home to her 8-metre swimming pool. There is a self-contained Jacuzzi on one side of the pool, with large sun pad seating flanking the other side. Also on this deck is the large gym with multiple machines and pieces of equipment and stunning views out over the water on both sides.Photo: Guillaume Plisson Photo: Guillaume Plisson The superyacht Ahpo is able to accommodate as many as 14 guests across seven guest staterooms. The large owners deck allows for a spacious yet cosy stateroom with recessed balconies on either side. The owner’s apartment is accessed by a private interior staircase to her panoramic owner’s saloon. Photo: Guillaume Plisson The owner’s suite is equipped with his-and-hers bathrooms and dressing rooms that are adorned with ornate mosaic patterns and bold marbles. Each bathroom has been uniquely designed with his bathroom and dressing room boasting a combination of honey onyx and black Portoro marble with a stunning mosaic wall in the shower inspired by Klimt paintings. Hers is pink with a cherry tree theme of elegant blossoms and birds.Photo: Guillaume Plisson The panoramic saloon offers 180-degree views over the bow with two custom desks that can turn the room into a private office. “The owners are extremely happy with this solution, it suits their lifestyle very well,” says Carlo Nuvolari. The saloon also has access to the helipad as well as a forward dining and lounging area.Photo: Guillaume Plisson Ahpo’s remaining seven guest staterooms include two on the owner’s deck, four on the main deck and one on the lower deck. The two guest staterooms on the owner’s deck include their own colour themes of pink and green, chosen by the family members to distinguish the two rooms.Photo: Guillaume Plisson Photo: Guillaume Plisson Built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, Ahpo is powered by twin MTU engines that offer a top speed of 18 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots.
